India is true democracy as it allows all to practice and profess their faith and beliefs in the best possible way. Today, when the west is condemning and limiting the Muslims, India allows, in fact, supports Muslims to live their way. A living example is Dr. Zakir Naik.

In the heart of Mumbai, Dr. Zakir Naik professes the teachings of Islam in the most logical and appealing manner. Dr. Zakir Naik is renowned as a dynamic international orator on Islam and Comparative Religion. He clarifies Islamic viewpoints and clears misconceptions about Islam, using the Qur’an, authentic Hadith and other religious Scriptures as a basis, in conjunction with reason, logic and scientific facts.

Zakir is popular for his critical analysis and convincing answers to challenging questions posed by audiences after his public talks. He has delivered more than 1000 public talks in the U.S.A., Canada, U.K., Saudi Arabia, U.A.E., Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, South Africa, Italy, Mauritius, Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, Hongkong, Thailand, Guyana (South America), Trinidad and many other countries, in addition to numerous public talks in India.

He has successfully participated in several symposia and dialogues with prominent personalities of other faiths. His public dialogue with Dr. William Campbell (of USA), on the topic, “The Qur’an and the Bible in the light of Science” held in city of Chicago, U.S.A., on April 1, 2000 was a resounding success. He has also had a public dialogue with Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.

Here are some of the works by Zakir.

This is all owing to the true democracy of India which has set an example of respecting all human beings regardless of their faiths and ethnicities. I congratulate this country for its true goodness and liberty.

Fariha, I have always believed that India is the largest and the most vibrant democracy in the world. India is also one of the most secular countries in the world. I am proud to be a citizen of this great country. Your article has brought tears of joy into my eyes. Thanks a lot.

Thanks babe for bringing to light Dr. Zakir. He is definitely doing a great job by filling an important and relevant vacuum. It is important that people like him address the issues and misconceptions about Islam.

And while India is a secular country, it has a hollow ring to it with the number of communal riots that take place. There is something amiss and it needs to be worked at in India.

Vaishali, in 3rd century India practised democracy.

Democracy is defined as rule of the people, by the people, for the people.

Different sects flourished in ancient India where every one had freedom to propagate their own faith. Some survived, others did not.

Dr Zakir Naik is a brilliant scholar and a good orator.
